Back Lighting: Getting the Most of with What We Got when Murphy’s Law is at Work (One Light Source and Colored Gels)
The best part of having an opportunity to cover an engagement session is the chance to showcase our skills as photographer to our couples; and like a diesel engine, we have the chance to warm up our rapport with our client. It opens the chance to get connected and study how we will be posing our couples for those creative shots, capturing every minute and single detail that will show the unique individualities the couple share together through our photos. Gaining the trust of our couple and affirming that they made the best choice when they hired us is intrinsic within those engagement shoots. But, what happens when Murphy’s Law is at work? The law states that “if anything will go wrong, it will, in the most unexpected time.” [MORE] Covering a Prenuptial/Engagement Shoot & Wedding for a Military Couple (Military Wedding)
June, of course, as a wedding photographer from Naga City who is currently based here in Metro Manila, is the wedding month here in the Philippines. Most, if not all, brides prefer to partake in the "June" bride fever. Lessons Learned [MORE] |
High Key Lighting (This one is not in a studio).
Shot inside a studio, outdoors, or at the stair landing of our debutante's apartment? It is the latter. Since Kim is an avid fan of Nicki Minaj, this shot is inspired and a rip-off from Nicki's "Masquerade" music video, added with a twist, where Kim sports a hoodie to give it a flavor of her own. Having fun, her mom also joined us in this session. [MORE] Mother & Daughter: High Speed Sync Photography
High Speed Syncing is a technique which enables a photographer to control the ambient light by using a flash and shutter speed in a fraction of a second. In this photo of Kim above which is taken outdoors, at around 1:OOPM, we were able to achieve a totally different mood and style on our debutante's predebut photo shoot in Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center by dropping the light lower and lighting the face of our subject. From Isarog to Greenhills and Mc Kinley Hills: A Tale of Naga-born Photographer
I am Choi Fante.
I hailed from Naga City, Philippines. I am a one proud son of Naga, and 100% Bicolano & "Oragon" since birth.
Currently, I am based here in Makati City working as an I.T. Professional. Photography had become the best outlet of a weekly stress, and it made my weekends more productive and enjoyable. I am not the best photographer in town, but with the determination and hunger that fuels my passion, I am living and taking advantage of every opportunity to live a present day much better than yesterday. This became my mantra, not only in my craft, but in my life as well.
I take pride and inspiration from every fellow Naga City Wedding Photographer or any photographer who chose to make themselves better every day. I had my own share of "firsts." From first little victories and epic fails, I always choose to move forward.
I always believe in a team. As a wedding Photographer and life events photographer, I am a member of a team of wonderful individuals who are always up for challenges, who are inspired to satisfy our vision of having happy clients in our every undertaking.
In my art and compositions, I live to create and never to compete.
I love to work on collaborations with individuals who share my values. When it comes to my client, my ultimate value, adopted from W. Wattles, is always to give more use value than the money value I received from my clients. I always believed that in any chosen endeavor, when we do our best, work at our best, and strive to make things better than yesterday, remunerations will normally fall in its place.
I believe that every artists share a part of themselves, both personality & character, in every masterpiece that they had composed or produced. I am slowly unveiling mine: in every composition, in every click of the shutter, and in every captured moments that I witness behind my viewfinder.
Photography had been a journey that I had started, and this will be an endeavor that I will always cherish.
